Make Your Own Mala-Make & Learn Event

“A Japa mala or mala (Sanskrit:माला; mālā, meaning garland) (Tib. threngwa) is a set of beads commonly used by Hindus and Buddhists. Malas are used for keeping count while reciting, chanting, or mentally repeating a mantra or the name or names of a deity. This practice is known in Sanskrit as japa. Malas are typically made with 18, 27, 54 or 108 beads”.(Wikipedia)
Come make your own, or make one as a gift!
Malas or prayer beads are used as a meditation tool to assist in staying focused, which can be difficult for some as they meditate. Learn about Mala beads as you create one of your own! You will learn how to make one, the history, significance and symbolism as well as once complete how to use them in meditation.
Those interested are encouraged to pre-register early as this event is limited to 12 people.
The cost is $45($60/day of) and includes all supplies needed. Participants will have a variety of kits to choose from.
As a bonus we will have supplies for 6 mala bracelets for those attending, to make a bracelet as well, these kits will be available for an additional $13.
As is our policy, we will require a minimum number of 5 for the event to run
